Rockland Jewish Family Service presents “A Very Israeli Rosh Hashanah Cooking Demo and Conversation” featuring Michael Solomonov, the Israeli-American five-time James-Beard-award-winning celebrity chef-restaurateur and cookbook author, and Adeena Sussman, New York Times best-selling cookbook author of “Sababa – Fresh Sunny Flavors From My Israeli Kitchen.” On Wednesday, September 1, at 8 p.m., the federation will stream a live one-hour holiday cooking class; the program will be recorded and available until September 8.

The two master chefs will teach viewers how to make Chicken with Date Syrup, Halvah Gazoz, and Salatim. The recipes will be sent out before the interactive presentation, as will the link and the password; the audience will be able to ask questions that will be answered live.

All proceeds will support RJFS programs and services. Sponsorships are available. For information, go to RJFS.org or call (845) 354-2121.
