The JCC Rockland will host its 18th annual International Jewish Film Festival from April 6 to May 10. The festival is online, as it was last year, so it can be enjoyed from anywhere in the world.
The festival, put together by the JCC Film Festival chair emeritus, Micki Leader, the committee, and JCC staff, will feature 13 films. It will open with “Shared Legacies,” which explores the historical lessons of Black-Jewish cooperation.
Other films include a World War II thriller, “Six Minutes to Midnight,” starring Eddie Izzard and Judy Dench; an LGBTQ comedy, “Kiss Me Kosher,” sponsored by the Rockland Pride Center; and an Ed Asner drama, “Tiger Within,” which follows the unlikely friendship between a Holocaust survivor and a homeless anti-Semitic teen.
Each film will be available on demand for four days beginning at its designated time. Tickets are on sale now for $12 for each film or $100 for the full subscription package, which includes access to all 13 films.
