Rockland food pantry distributing food, needs volunteers
Rockland Jewish Family Service’s Rhoda Bloom Kosher Food Pantry will hold its next distribution on Sunday, August 16, from noon to 2 p.m. No application or paperwork is required now; the pantry wants to get food to people who need it. The kosher food distribution is in the back parking lot of the Rockland JCC in West Nyack. It is a drive-through; volunteers will put the food in the car, so nobody has to get out.
Volunteers are needed for this effort. Packing begins that morning at 9 a.m. There are two distribution shifts, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. RSVPs are necessary, so RJFS can properly plan for social distancing and assignments.
For information, call (845) 354-2121 or go to rjfs.org.
