Responders Run Motorcycle Rally officers honored Bergen County Clerk John Hogan for his support of the organization. According to Bob Nesoff, the president of Responders Run and a former president of the New Milford Jewish Center, “John Hogan has been one of our most ardent supporters since the inception of Responders Run. Over the years John has always been there when needed and given his support both financially and publicly. As the result of the support John has given and others like him, we have been able to assist a number of families suffering tragedies.”

Responders Run is a 501(c)3 charity that raises funds to assist first responders, police, fire, EMTs and military seriously injured or killed in the line of duty. It raises funds from sponsors and participants in the annual motorcycle rally.

Locally, the organization has made donations to the family of a Jersey City police detective who was murdered by terrorists, to the eight-year-old daughter of a Bergen County Green Beret killed in action in Afghanistan, and the family of a Rockland County volunteer firefighter killed while attempting to rescue residents of a home for the elderly. Donations have also been made to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the Disabled American Veterans. Responders Run has set its next rally for August 22, from the Paramus VFW.
