In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Week, the Northern New Jersey Holocaust Memorial and Education Center, working in conjunction with the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, offers “Survival to Resilience,” a virtual program and discussion, on Sunday, January 31, at 7 p.m. The program will feature survivor Evi Blaikie, who was a hidden child and will discuss her experiences both during and after the war. Afterward, Dr. Dennis Klein of Teaneck, who is a professor history professor and the director of the master of arts program in Holocaust and genocide studies program, both at Kean University, will lead a discussion with Ms. Blaikie and two other child survivors, Felice Stokes of Teaneck and Hans Gesell of Englewood.
The suggested donation is $18, and sponsorships are available. Proceeds will benefit the Centerpiece Capital Campaign for the Proposed Holocaust Memorial and Education Center. To register, go to nnjholocaustmemorial.org.
