Rabbi’s wife will address Suffern Chabad program on ALS

Dina Hurwitz, whose husband, Rabbi Yitzi Hurwitz, was diagnosed with ALS in 2015, is the guest speaker on Monday, January 8, at 7:30 p.m., at the Chabad Jewish Center of Suffern, 350 Haverstraw Rd. in Montebello, N.Y.

The program is called “Hope and Inspiration — Seeing God in the Silver Lining.” “Rabbi Yitzi” as he is affectionately known, is 95 percent paralyzed and no longer able to speak or breathe on his own. Before his diagnosis, he, his wife, and their seven children were Chabad emissaries in California for 14 years. The program is sponsored by Suzanne Lippe and family in memory of Dr. Michael S. Lippe.
