Rabbinical Assembly offers Intro to Judaism class 

The New Jersey Rabbinical Assembly will offer a 24-session Introduction to Judaism course in three locations — Hoboken on Wednesdays at 7 p.m., Springfield on Thursdays at 7 p.m., and Marlboro on Sundays at 10 a.m. 

Classes will begin in October and will include a combination of virtual and in-person sessions, that will be determined based on the state of the pandemic, and will be reassessed frequently.

The course will be of interest and oriented to a wide variety of people, whether they’re Interested in strengthening their Jewish knowledge base, exploring a newfound interest in Judaism, or considering or planning to convert to Judaism; they could be at the class alone or with their Jewish partners.

Topics will range from the foundations of Judaism to the importance of Jewish community, from Jewish history to Jewish holidays, and from the richness of the Jewish way of life to the centrality of crucial life cycle events. Learning basic Hebrew reading is an integral component of the course.
