Rabbi brings books to Uganda community

On June 30, Rabbi Barry L. Schwartz met with the Abayudaya Jewish community in Uganda as they celebrated the 100th anniversary of their conversion to Judaism. Rabbi Schwartz presented them with 18 copies of the JPS Hebrew English Tanach as well as two of his books.
Rabbi Schwartz, the spiritual leader of Congregation Adas Emuno in Leonia, also is the director of the Jewish Publication Society. The Jewish Standard wrote a cover story about his children’s book about Genesis in 2017.
