Purim baskets go from Long Island to Rockland survivors

Rockland Jewish Family Service received a special donation of mishloach manot bags from community members at Temple Beth Sholom of Roslyn. A group of RJFS volunteers delivered the baskets to spread joy to many local Holocaust survivors.

Beth Sholom members created and delivered the baskets in their own area, on Long Island’s North Shore, but were not content to keep it local. They reached out to Rockland Jewish Family Service to see how they could help in Rockland County, which they knew has been hard hit by the pandemic. They wanted to offer some treats and good wishes especially to Holocaust survivors, and RJFS was able to make the connection.
