Proud and hopeful

Thank you so much for your article “No ‘Kisses’ in this shul” (Feb. 17) about our wonderful new rabbi, Joel Pitkowsky, and his switch to handing out Fair Trade chocolate to our children at the end of services. I would like to add one important piece of information to your article, however. It is a source of pride that Congregation Beth Sholom was the first (and still only) synagogue in Teaneck to become a Fair Trade institution. We look forward to seeing some of our fellow Teaneck synagogues join us in the near future.
