The Dor L’Dor group at Congregation Ahavath Torah offers an outdoor, in-person lunch and learn session on Tuesday, August 24 at noon. It will be on Ahavath Torah’s rear patio; the shul is at 240 Broad Ave. in Englewood.
Rabbi Chaim Poupko, Ahavath Torah’s senior rabbi, will give a pre-High Holy Day talk. He is a member of the national executive committee of the Rabbinical Council of America and served as treasurer and president of the Rabbinical Council of Bergen County.
Dr. David Cohain, who combines music and art to create unique entertainment, also will give a presentation. Dr. Cohain was the subject of a Jewish Standard cover story on June 30.
All attendees must be vaccinated and covid safety protocols, including socially distanced seating, will be observed. Individually packaged boxed lunches will be served. If it’s too hot or raining, the program will be held in the Ahavath Torah ballroom, again with all covid safety protocols in place.
