“Haret el Yahood” or it’s English translation, “Jewish Quarter” is the name of this hot new television series. The production is deemed controversial due to the positive portrayal of the Jewish characters in the storyline.

According to the show’s creator, the concept was a hot topic of discussion among the public even before a script was produced. The intention in creating the series was to break the negative stereotypes of Jews living in Egypt. Egypt was once a thriving habitat for the Jewish people.
