Police release picture of ‘person of interest’ in Beth El firebombing
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office (BCPO) Major Crimes Unit and the Rutherford Police Department have released film footage of a “person of interest” in the firebombing of Congregation Beth El in Rutherford.
The footage was taken by a store security camera. The “unidentified man appears to be fair-skinned with brown to black hair and beard,” the a statement from the BCPO said; “he stands approximately 5’10″ to 6’1″ tall and has a thin to medium build. The male appears to be between 18 and 30 years old. The male was observed to be wearing a red/orange and black warm-up suit, black sneakers, a red/orange wool hat (skullcap) and was carrying a camouflage backpack or rucksack. The male was also observed riding a bicycle.”
