The Waltuch Art Gallery at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly is exhibiting photographs by the renowned photographer Matt Dine, a New York Times freelance culture photographer. The pictures showcase the talent and depth of the JCC’s Thurnauer School of Music students. Mr. Dine is known for his exceptional ability to capture the essence of his subjects in his photographs.

The exhibit runs through June and is open to the public. A reception for the exhibit was held with the photographer and some of the students featured in the photos last month.

Since the JCC opened, the Waltuch Gallery has hosted art shows featuring the work of painters, photographers, digital artists, and other creative designers. Looking to reflect the culture of the JCC as a bedrock of the Jewish community, the gallery’s focus is on thematically Jewish artwork or art produced by Jewish artists. Additionally, the Waltuch Gallery often has exhibits created and curated by JCC departments, spotlighting how art weaves into the fabric of education and personal development.
