Paterson Shul welcomes all

The Paterson Shul, housed at the Federation Apartments in Paterson, welcomes everyone who is looking for a minyan, or who might not be able to afford synagogue dues. The shul, run by lay leadership, volunteers, and residents of the apartment complex, has a small, dedicated group of Reform, Conservative, and even slightly Orthodox congregants. English, Russian, Hebrew, and Yiddish all are spoken there, and the building is handicapped accessible.

Services for all High Holy Days are free. Street parking is available. Shacharit for Rosh Hashanah begins at 9 a.m. on September 21 and 22. Kol Nidre begins around 6:30 p.m. on September 29 and all-day services for Yom Kippur begin at 9 a.m. on September 30.

The shul is at 510 E. 27th St. (corner of 12th Avenue) in Paterson. For more information go to www.PatersonShul.com or call its gabbai, Jerry Schranz, at (908) 581-2972.
