Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley in Woodcliff Lake sent a team to the in-person 47th Upper Pascack Valley CROP hunger walk. (The acronym stands for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty.) The TEPV team raised $16,101 ($14,947 at the time of the photo). Here, from left, are Jenn Romanoff; TEPV’s cantor emeritus, Mark Biddelman; Jeff Steinfeld; Diana Rosner; Logan Richmond, and his mother, Susan; and Karen Albert. Marty Prince, the team’s leader, is not pictured.

The CROP Walk, a program of the Church World Services, an international nonprofit organization that brings together people of different faiths, raises funds to eradicate hunger and poverty.  Twenty-five percent of the funds raised through its efforts are returned to the host community to support local hunger-fighting efforts.

The walkers came from six religious congregations in the Pascack Valley. The total raised to date exceeded $20,202.
