The eighth annual Relay for Life in Paramus was held virtually in June. It drew more than 200 registered participants, including 65 cancer survivors and 27 teams, and it raised more than $30,000 for the American Cancer Society. Until this year, it’s always been held on the football field at Paramus High School. This year, however, in response to covid-19, the American Cancer Society suspended all in-person activities, so the volunteer event leadership committee, made up primarily of Paramus High School students and local community members, shifted it to a three-day virtual format.
As the committee prepares for its 2021 efforts, all community members are encouraged to volunteer, participate, or donate. More information is available at www.relayforlife.org/paramusnj or by emailing email@example.com.
