Painting volunteers needed

Painting volunteers needed

Safely@Home, formerly Bonim Builders, needs volunteers, 12 and older, on Sunday, November 5. They will paint the inside of the Jewish Association for Developmental Disabilities home in Bergenfield. Two shifts are available: from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Safely@Home continues to “Repair the World, One House at a Time,” by using volunteers to perform repairs and renovations for low-income homeowners, the elderly, the disabled, and the chronically ill. It is a project of the Jewish Home at Home, a member of the Jewish Home Family.

Twelve- to 15-year-old volunteers must be accompanied by a participating adult, with a ratio of one adult for each child. Water and kosher snacks will be provided. Dress for a mess, with closed-toed shoes and clothing you do not mind getting paint on.

Register in advance by emailing Safely@Home’s director, Stacey Orden, at SOrden@jewishhomefamily.org or by calling (201) 518-1175. Once you are registered, you will receive the project address and waiver forms, which must be completed and brought to the project.
