On the same-sex announcement controversy

This situation reminds me of the extremist group “The Moral Majority” led by Jerry Falwell – and the bumper sticker that came out years ago in response to their nonsense: “The Moral Majority is Neither.” Being observant does not give one an exclusive on right and wrong or the right to determine that for others. I understand that “the squeaky wheel gets the oil,” but I would have hoped that the publishers and editors of a supposedly unbiased publication would be able to get past the noise and stand strong.
