Norpac welcomes lawmakers to local pro-Israel meetings

Norpac event chairs Dr. Laurie Baumel and Manuel Litchman welcomed Congressman Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) to their Teaneck home on July 26. Mr. Chabot is a co-sponsor of the Israel Anti-Boycott Act and supported the passage of the United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2018, which insured a minimum $3.3 billion in security aid to Israel for the coming fiscal year. He won his May primary and is running for re-election in November.

Michael and Debbie Blumenthal flank Senator Chris Murphy

Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) was a guest at Debbie and Michael Blumenthal’s Englewood home on July 29. At a press conference, Mr. Murphy reaffirmed that “Israel is our most important ally in the Middle East,” and that “Jerusalem is and always will be the capital of the state of Israel.” He is a co-sponsor of the United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2018. He is finishing his first term in the Senate and is seeking re-election in November.

Arthur Sinensky, Bob Cook, and Hal Messer co-hosted a Norpac meeting for Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-5th Dist.) at the Performing Arts School at bergenPAC in Englewood on July 30. Retired Senator Joe Lieberman, (I-Conn.), praised Mr. Gottheimer for his support of U.S.-Israel relations and his involvement with the Problem Solvers Caucus. Mr. Gottheimer won his primary and is running for re-election in November.
