The Newark Public Library Foundation offered insights into Philip Roth’s personal library when it hosted a Zoom reading and conversation with Ben Taylor about his new memoir, “Here We Are: My Friendship with Philip Roth.” The book is a portrait of Roth; Taylor was one of his closest friends. Taylor read passages from the book, discussed his approach to the work, shared recollections of Philip Roth, and answered questions by program participants; the program was facilitated by writer and critic Maureen Corrigan.
