New youth directors named at Jewish Center of Teaneck
A young married couple, Yishai and Yiskah Klein, are the Jewish Center of Teaneck’s new youth directors. They are on the faculty at Ben Porat Yosef, and they successfully led the shul’s youth minyan and Mommy and Me program last year.
Yishai Klein, a native of Beit El, was an officer in the IDF. Yiskah Klein, originally from Tzfat, has been a regional coordinator and educator for the National Service (Sherut L’Umi) program, and she has experience mentoring at-risk teens and youth. The Kleins have three children, Eliyah, 10, Alumah, 7, and Dror, 3.
The couple will head a team of youth leaders. Dara Zaer will be back to lead the first- and second- grade groups, and Daphna Cohen and Miriam Leah Mincis will lead the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten groups. Alysa Cohen, a veteran first-grade teacher from Yeshivat Noam, is the new chair of the shul’s youth committee. For more information, call (201) 833-0515 or email Elanna at office@jcot.org.
