Sure, the internet has democratized publishing, but we’re still believers in that old-time religion of print magazines. So there’s a definite thrill when we stumbled upon the latest niche Jewish publication: Apikorus! Magazine.
Apikorus! is the traditional Jewish phrase for “heretic” (it’s derived from the Greek philosopher Epicurus) and the new publication bills itself as “the magazine for those who dare to find their own spiritual path.”
With articles on topics like “The wisdom of the Jewish skeptic blogosphere” and “Durkheim as a model for religious exiters,” Apikorus! Is the perfect tallis-bag companion for people who would rather read than daven in shul.
Two issues have been published so far, and you can order them apikorsus.wordpress.com.
