New board members installed at the Jewish Home Family
The Jewish Home Family held its annual meeting on June 27 at Jewish Home Assisted Living in River Vale. Guests heard updates from all the JHF-affiliated entities, including Jewish Home Assisted Living, Jewish Home at Rockleigh, Jewish Home at Home, and the Jewish Home Foundation.
New board members and officers were installed. Peter Martin finished three successful years as chair of the Jewish Home Family board and was recognized for his dedicated service; Jay Nadel is the new chair of the JHF board. Lisa Mactas completed three years as chair of the Jewish Home at Rockleigh board and Ellen Sokoloff was installed as her successor. Howard Chernin continues as the chair of the Jewish Home Foundation board and Maggie Kaplen remains chair of Jewish Home Assisted Living.
Dr. Marc Arginteau and Mark Rottenberg are the new members of the Jewish Home Family board, Craig Besnoy joins the board of the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, and Robin Brill and Dr. Steven Leibowitz are joining the Jewish Home Foundation board.
The Jewish Home Family provides a continuum of services for older adults in northern Bergen County. The Jewish Home at Rockleigh offers long-term care and memory care and is home to the Charles Berkowitz Center for Rehabilitation Excellence, offering state-of-the-art services for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Jewish Home Assisted Living in River Vale offers both traditional assisted living and assisted living memory care, using the Green House model, with small homes offering elder-directed care. The Jewish Home Family has a nationally recognized program for the care of patients living with Parkinson’s disease and also houses the only New Jersey elder abuse shelter, SeniorHaven.
