A new baby gemach has opened in Englewood to help young families, especially those affected by the pandemic and its economic fallout, said founder, Jordana Bier Tanenbaum.
The gemach, an abbreviation for the Hebrew words, gemilut chasadim, “acts of kindness,” offers all types of baby gear in excellent or like-new condition, including bris pillows, baby clothing, basinets, bouncy seats, highchairs, etc.
The gemach operates anonymously and will help in any way that it can, said Ms. Bier Tanenbaum. “Especially now, it’s hard for people to ask. But if you need something, we are here and we don’t judge.”
