NCJW plans March study tour to Israel

Several members of the Bergen County section of the National Council of Jewish Women, including Carole Benson, a former section president who now is communications chair, will join members of other chapters for a study tour to Israel. The March 2 to March 8 trip, called “Force for Change: Israel Through a Gender Lens,” will explore the power of women leading change in Israel. The group, together with leaders of the Jewish Women’s Funding Network, will meet activists and artists, peace seekers and gender studies scholars, feminist journalists and bloggers, women politicians and business leaders — all making their mark on the landscape of Israel.

The trip will conclude with a symposium in Tel Aviv, the culmination of groundbreaking research conducted by NCJW and the Dafna Fund on the status of women in Israel.

For registration information, call the Da’at customer service center at (888) 811-2812, ext. 1, email Carole at cbenson@ncjwbcs.org, or email Dina Charnin at israelstudytour@ncjw.org.
