The Bergen County section of the National Council of Jewish Women’s co-presidents, Joan Ornstein and Paula Star, went to the March for Israel in Washington on November 14. Mr. Ornstein’s daughter-in-law, Lindsay Ornstein, and two of her granddaughters joined the NCJW co-presidents at the march to show support for Israel and for freeing the hostages, and to protest antisemitism, which has increased in the U.S. since the Israel-Hamas war began in October. They stood strong in the group of nearly 300,000 supporters, for Israel and their Jewish identity. The day reaffirmed their Jewish pride and unity in the face of adversity.
