Rabbi Moshe Schapiro of the Chabad of Hoboken and Jersey City was among a group of 27 Chabad rabbis who went on a three-day trip to Israel. Their mission was to let the Israeli people they’re not alone and to bring much-needed supplies. The group visited hospitals, army bases, and met with families who have hostages in Gaza.

The rabbis raised $500,000 for frontline communities in Sderot, Ashkelon, and other affected areas. The group also made a barbecue for over 150 soldiers at the Gaza border at an army base.

The Buskila family, whose daughter, Amit, 28, was at the music festival and was taken hostage to Gaza, requested that Rabbi Schapiro bring worldwide attention to her. He did so by www.chabadhoboken.com.
