Montebello Jewish Center suspends in-person Shabbat services

In response to the spread of covid-19, the Montebello Jewish Center will suspend its Shabbat morning services. The unanimous decision was made by the board of trustees, medical experts, and its rabbi, Joshua Finkelstein. The situation will be reevaluated and re-opening in mid-December will be considered, if conditions permit.

Kabbalat Shabbat services will continue to be livestreamed on Friday evenings at 6 p.m., and the MJC office will remain open during business hours. All other MJC functions will continue in virtual settings. Anyone feeling vulnerable or isolated is invited to email Rabbi Finkelstein at RabbiJSF@gmail.com.
