Last month, the Jewish Center of Teaneck hosted “Infertility: Raising Awareness and Breaking the Stigma,” a Yesh Tikva presentation. Elie Salomon and Dr. Talia Hindin were the speakers.

Yesh Tikva, a global organization that focuses on issues surrounding infertility, has two primary goals: to provide psychosocial resources and tools to people struggling with infertility, and to raise awareness of infertility throughout the Jewish community.

Elie Salomon, a Yesh Tikva co-founder, talked about her own struggles with infertility and how they led her to founding the organization. Dr. Talia Hindin, a psychologist who coordinates Yesh Tikva’s “Fertility Friends” mentorship program, talked about some of the implications of infertility, including mental health issues, and she described Yesh Tikva’s services. A question-and-answer session followed.
