Aaron Cohen and Roma Fish, residents of Senior Towers of Paterson and members of the Paterson Shul, helped decorate and assemble the shul’s newly expanded sukkah.

The sukkah extension — which doubled its size — was donated by Jason Gold of Wayne and his family, in honor of their friends, David and Beth Berman and their family. The Bermans lived in Fair Lawn until they moved to Israel.

The Bermans “were dedicated supporters of the Paterson minyan and the senior residents living in the apartments,” Jerry Schranz, the shul’s gabbai, said. “They made aliyah several years ago and left the blueprints — guidelines for me to adhere to — for keeping the legacy of the shul and the need to keep Jewish life in Paterson going for as long as it can.”
