Participants in Lubavitch on the Palisades’ Decisions of Fate class taught by Rabbi Mordechai Shain recently celebrated their class graduation. The adult education course looked at medical ethics and Judaism’s approach to complex medical decisions. Each class focused on a key topic, including experimental treatments, extending life, and questions around pregnancy. Participants gained perspective on how the Jewish ethical tradition helps us navigate fateful decisions, as well as the contrast between American law and Jewish law in these situations.
