New York’s Celebrate Israel Parade, the world’s largest public gathering honoring the State of Israel, marched up Fifth Avenue from 57th to 74th streets, on Sunday, June 3. This year’s theme, marking Israel’s 70th anniversary, was “70 and Sababa!” (70 and awesome). Among the local synagogues, schools, federations, JCCs, and organizations marching were the Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County in New Milford and Congregation Kol HaNeshamah of Englewood.
