Local artist displaying in NYC
Rachelle Weisberger of Englewood will exhibit one of her paintings, “Sarah,” in the Living Room Gallery of St. Peter’s Church, on 619 Lexington Ave. in Manhattan, through January 3. The opening reception will be on Thursday, October 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. Ms. Weisberger will talk about her work on Tuesday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m.
Ms. Weisberger’s piece is part of a group show, “Art as Sanctuary,” sponsored by the New York Society of Women Artists, a professional association of painters, sculptors, and graphic artists. Ms. Weisberger is on the group’s board. Her work has been exhibited in leading galleries in the tristate area and is represented in private collections.
Ms. Weisberger also is the author of a book, “Biblical Beauty: Ancient Secrets and Modern Solutions.” She is a member of both the East Hill Synagogue and Congregation Ahavath Torah in Englewood. A lifelong supporter of Israel, she is affiliated with the charitable organizations Amit, Emunah of America, and Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America and AIPAC.
