Legislative advocacy in Totowa
The Jewish Community Relations Committee of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey continued a series of legislative advocacy days by visiting the offices of New Jersey state Senator Kristen Corrado in Totowa. One of the topics discussed was the rise of anti-Semitism and its remedies. The subject was particularly relevant after the Tree of Life Synagogue murders in Pittsburgh. Other topics included the growing trade and business relationships between Israel and New Jersey and the ongoing problems in northern New Jersey affecting vulnerable segments of the population, such as affordable senior housing and convenient public transportation.
