All are welcome to classes at Lamdeinu in Teaneck with Sara Wolkenfeld and the school’s dean, Rachel Friedman, on Tuesday, July 11.
From 10:15 to 11:30 a.m., Ms. Wolkenfeld discusses “VeAhavta LeRe’akha Kamokha: Emotions in Halakhah.” She will address such question as: How can the Torah obligate us to feel a certain way? How are emotions like joy or anger subsumed into a life of Torah and mitzvot?
At 11:45, Ms. Friedman talks about “The Sin of Shiva Asar b’Tammuz: Is God Jealous of a Golden Calf?”
