Kudos to Boteach

Kudos to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach for doing what we all should have done: Warmly invite Rabbi Shammai Engelmayer to return to his crisp, bristly, provocative, engaging, informative, and always interesting column (“A response to Shammai,” March 1).

I, for one (and I know I speak for many), was stunned at Rabbi Engelmayer’s decision to retire from the field, and although I remonstrated with him privately I am sorry, in retrospect, that I did not do so in public.

The paper has missed him. The readers have missed him. I have missed him.

Dear Shammai, come back. It’s time for your annual Pesach product rant. Nobody does it better.
