JYC’s Chanukah celebration has large turnout

The Jewish Young Community held a Chanukah Shabbat and dinner on Friday, December 15, as a project of the Morristown Jewish Center. The JYC, for 21- to 39-year-olds, serves the young adult Jewish community in Northern New Jersey. It welcomes individuals and couples of all denominations and observance levels to forge meaningful Jewish connections.

The service was led by Cantor Jacob Greenberg of Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains with Cantor Shana Onigman and Rabbi Adam Gillman of the Morristown shul. About 71 participants joined from Morris, Essex, Somerset, Passaic, Bergen, Middlesex, Monmouth, Union, and Warren counties. For information on upcoming events, go to the JYC website at jycnewjersey.com, or follow it on social media via Facebook, Instagram, and Meetup.com.
