The Jewish Learning Program at Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston is operating remotely for the semester. The JLP offers Hebrew pods and Judaic classes on Zoom. To give the students the opportunity to come together outside in a socially distant safe environment for community, learning, and fun, they come on campus at TBA for JLPOP-Up activities. Recently the students came onsite for a JLPOP-Up to learn about Simchat Torah. Younger students made Torahs, older students crafted a yad, and everyone agreed that writing Hebrew with a quill and ink was really hard. For information, email Melissa Weiner, the shul’s director of Jewish learning, at mweiner@tbanj.org, or go to tbanj.org/jewish-learning-program.
