Are you Jewish? Are you on Facebook? Do you have something other than Jewish marked as your religion? Do you wonder why then there are still Jew-specific ads popping up on the side when you know the ads are targeted to users and you don’t have Jewish marked as your religion?
Well, one blogger wondered and wrote to a marketing firm to find out.
A blanket regional ad that assumes a lot of Jews live in the New York area. So that’s it — at least for this company. It’s not an entirely unreasonable assumption either as the majority of U.S. Jews do live in the New York/tristate region.
But I still get ads on my Facebook profile asking me if I want to meet hot Christian women. Go figure.
