In praise of Peter Bergson

Re the belated and much deserved recognition of the late Peter Bergson (Feb. 6): I wonder what took them so long.

Years ago we have in our own modest way come to recognize and perpetuate his memory by naming our company in his honor – Bergson Strategies, LLC (a commercial real estate firm).

We realized that his efforts and accomplishments were not fully in accord with the powerbrokers of his day but, in hindsight and as early as the 1950s, the research was already pointing an accusatory finger at those same powerbrokers for not doing enough to mitigate the cataclysm that overtook European Jews.
