In praise of Camp David accords

In praise of Camp David accords

It is nothing short of astonishing to find Rabbi Shmuley Boteach (May 22) characterizing the Camp David accords as “catastrophic” for Israel. It will be remembered that these were the agreements which led to the disengagement of Egypt from the lists as one of the confrontation states, for which two of the participants were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and for the making of which one of them paid with his life.

If the pacification of the largest hostile army in the region is a catastrophe, may Israel suffer many more such disasters in the near future.
