Holocaust museum’s virtual race will honor victims of Shoah

The Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education’s third annual “Run for The Six” is now virtual. During the week of September 6 to 13, participants can walk or run anytime, anywhere, and anyplace to remember Holocaust victims, honor local survivors, and unite the community virtually against anti-Semitism and hate. Before the pandemic, the run had been planned for September 13 at Rockland Community College.

A portion of the event proceeds will support the Museum’s Café Europa-On-The-Go program, which provides nutritious meals, cheerful notes, and a delivery service to Holocaust survivors while sharing distanced socialization.

Nanci Goldman, Walter Goldman, Melinda Levin, Sharon Sasson, Emily Scandariato, and Marci Valen are the event chairs.
