Holocaust museum benefit in November
The Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education’s annual benefit brunch is set for Sunday, November 4, at 10:30 a.m., and will honor Alan Moskin. Stefany and Simon Bergson are the Elie Wiesel Memorial award recipients. The brunch is at the View on the Hudson
in Piermont.
Alan Moskin, a museum trustee, is a member of its speakers’ bureau. Since last year’s benefit brunch, he has been the featured speaker at nearly 30 events, reaching more than 5,000 people. Alan shares his wartime experiences as a GI in General George Patton’s Third Army and as a liberator of several concentration camps.
Stefany and Simon Bergson, longtime museum supporters, are being honored for their commitment to commemorating the Holocaust and to teaching people about it. They have been dedicated to helping build the new, state-of-the-art museum, which is scheduled to open next year.
Reservations are due by October 26. All proceeds will benefit Holocaust and tolerance education programs. For information, call (845) 574-4099, HolocaustRCC@gmail.com, or go to holocauststudies.org.
