Holocaust film features survivor
“A String of Pearls: The Small Miracles of Charles Middleberg” is a short film based on a young boy’s escaping the Holocaust in occupied Paris. It was shown at Congregation Beth El in Voorhees. The film, which is illustrated with hundreds of hand-cut paper silhouettes, is told through the voice of Charles Middleberg, who died in December at 94.
“I want to teach children not to hate,” Mr. Middleberg said. He often went to local schools to tell his survival story.
The film will be available to stream for free from midnight March 22 until midnight March 30. The link is https://filmfreeway.com/projects/2524455, and the password is cycloramafilmsxyz.
