Heritage Fair - The Jewish Standard

I was delighted that you published a story about the Heritage Fair at the Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County. I was sorry, however, to find some errors.

The author reports me as saying that the exhibit does not “include Holocaust artifacts since the students have not yet learned about the Shoah.” What I did in fact say was that the exhibit did not only include Holocaust artifacts, it included a variety of objects from the students’ diverse family collections. In fact, a photograph on the same page shows a suitcase used in the Kindertransport, most certainly a Shoah artifact. Also, I stated that our students have started learning about the Shoah this year and that this exhibit is a part of that curriculum.
