Hebrew school visits local honey farm

In anticipation of Rosh Hashanah, seventh graders at Valley Chabad’s Hebrew school visited Rockland Honey in Montebello, one of the area’s only apiaries, to see how honey is made. Beekeeper Zev talked about bees, how they live, and how the honey is made. Students then donned suits and were able to get a close look at the hives and hold the honeycombs.
