Hebrew school students plan JHAL visit
Students in Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley’s religious school will participate in “Remembering Together — Across Generations.” The Jewish Home Assisted Living in River Vale will host the program on May 17 from 4 to 6 p.m.
The day will include an intergenerational conversation between Holocaust survivors and the 15-year-old students. The students will introduce a three-person panel of survivors. After the presentation, there will be a question-and-answer period, followed by a light dinner. The attendees, students and adults, will be able to meet the members of the panel one-on-one.
All are welcome to the free community event, which is made possible by a grant facilitated by the Association of Jewish Aging from the Sephardic Home for the Aged Foundation. For reservations, call (201) 666-2370 or email jhal@jewishhomefamily.org.
