Holocaust survivor Miriam Gluzman of Wayne, who is 84, has been busy creating masks for lab workers at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Ms. Gluzman heard about the need at the hospital from her daughter, Esther Marks of Paramus, a hospice volunteer there. So far, Ms. Gluzman has made more than 200 masks.Six weeks later, Ms. Marks’ neighbor told her that the lab needed surgical caps. In no time, Ms. Gluzman made a template and started making surgical caps for the lab crew.
According to Ms. Marks’ other daughter, Lili Baumzweig, also of Paramus, her mother has “just started her surgical cap assembly line, so I’m sure she’ll have a bunch done by the end of the weekend.”
