On Sunday, November 12, Hadassah Northern New Jersey held its annual Myrtle Wreath award celebration. The award, one of the most prestigious the organization gives, is given to people who have made significant contributions to Jewish life — in the United States or in Israel — in politics, diplomacy, science, the arts, or organization work.

Ruth Grossberg of Fair Lawn, this year’s honoree, was cited for her dedication to the Jewish people as Hadassah’s United Nations deputy chair and as a past Northern NJ Region president.

The celebration, at B’nai Shalom of West Orange, also honored the chapters’ Women of Valor for their dedication to Hadassah.
